Claims control

Evidence Before Environmental Claims

A scope certificate identifies the certified organization, sites, processes and product scope during its validity period. It does not prove that every future order automatically qualifies for the same claim.

  • Confirm the requested product is within the relevant scope
  • Confirm recycled-content and material designations for the order
  • List transaction or traceability documents the buyer expects
  • Review printed claims, percentages and labeling before approval

Four approval steps

From Garment Requirement to Approved Sample

Build the packaging specification first, then approve any printed environmental statement against the exact order.

  1. 01

    Define the packed product

Provide garment dimensions, folding method, unit weight and the intended packaging use.

  2. 02

    Choose presentation and closure

Confirm clarity, feel, bag opening and the way the pack should close.

  3. 03

    Confirm claims and documents

List recycled-content targets, printed claims, certificates and transaction-document needs.

  4. 04

    Approve the sample

Approve size, film presentation, closure, printing and warning information before production.

Buyer questions

Common Questions Before Quotation

Does one GRS certificate prove every order?
No. A scope certificate identifies the certified organization, sites, processes and product scope during its validity period. A buyer should still confirm that the requested bag, recycled-content target and supply-chain documents are covered for the specific order. Transaction documentation and approved order records may also be required, depending on the claim and purchasing program.
Can we print the GRS logo or a recycled-content claim?
Only after the product, recycled-content percentage, chain-of-custody documents and proposed artwork have been checked against the applicable claim and labeling rules. A logo or percentage shown on a sample does not authorize the same statement for every order. Send the intended market, artwork and documentation requirement for review before printing.
How should we choose between frosted CPE and clear PE?
Start with the required presentation and packing process. Frosted CPE is commonly selected for a softer appearance and feel, while clear PE provides greater product visibility. Closure style, garment dimensions, film feel, artwork and packing speed should be reviewed together. Approve a physical sample with the actual garment before mass production.
